Full daily maid service is included:
laundry, cooking, cleaning and ensuring that necessary food and supplies
are acquired for your account.
A cook is included in the price for MOONRISE.
Food and drink is not included in the price
and guests may either go shopping themselves
or just have the cook provision for them.
The first night's dinner and first morning's breakfast is prepared for you,
so you don’t have to worry about shopping as soon as you arrive.
The cost of this dinner and breakfast provisioning
is included in your payement.
* For private sailing yacht add your favorite yacht's rate/day.

Moonhole is located on the western peninsula of Bequia
on approximately 20 acres of rich wooded land.
One awakes to the music of mocking birds and the Bequia Black Birds
singing, "Bequia Sweet Sweet Sweet" - an ideal place
for those of us who are at one with nature
and a wonderful place for swimming, hiking, reading and bird watching.
(Frigate Bird, Booby, Mocking Bird, Heron, Osprey, Tropic Bird and many others.)
Included in the rental are the services of our wonderful staff
led by your housekeeper/cook,
who takes great pride in assisting and spoiling our guests.
She produces excellent, high quality cuisine
and makes the meanest rum punch on the island!
Moonhole is a twenty minute taxi ride from the ferry terminal in the harbor,
and a five-minute ride from the airport.
A private community encompassing one end of the island, it is very secluded,
with houses built into a rocky steep ridge, open to the elements and to spectacular views.
The absence of electricity...
creates a romantic and tranquil atmosphere.
Kerosene and gas lights are set out at night by the staff.
Propane gas powers the refrigerators, stoves and irons.
MOONRISE is about 160 feet above sea level,
high enough to catch the trade winds,
keeping the temperature pleasant
and refreshing even during the summer months
and minimizing the presence of insects.
Visitors arrive at the Moonhole gates by taxi,
and from there reach the house via a network of stone paths that connect the community.
Porters and maids carry up baggage and all supplies for the house.
MOONRISE comes with my housekeeper/cook included for 2 people
and with an extra junior girl if there are 4 or 6.
Ideally the house sleeps 4 people.
There are two bedrooms, each with private bath.
We can, if need be, accommodate two in a third bedroom
but the downstairs bathroom would be shared.
Guests spend their days basking in the sun on the MOONRISE deck,
watching the yachts sail by, relaxing with a good book...
all without interruption by the phone or television.
No matter what your preferences,
the Moonhole experience is unlike any resort in the Caribbean.
The houses and their gardens harmonize
with the beautiful terrain and flora of the setting.
The views of the sea and other Grenadine islands are breathtaking.
It’s a vacation in paradise!
Food and beverages are your responsibility.
They can be purchased for you at the Homeowners Association store,
and you will be billed prior to your departure,
or you can purchase your own provisions in the harbor.
We purchase the ingredients
for your arrival dinner and first breakfast for you at the store.
We place this US$135 as a credit on your food/drink account
so you have food and beverages on hand upon arrival.
After that, you can discuss your needs
with the housekeeper, who will be happy to help.
If you wish,
you can rent a car in the Bequia Harbor
and park it at the Moonhole gates
or you can uses taxis or the dollar taxi available from Paget Farm,
a ten-minute walk from the gates.
Our driver will pick you up at the airport or the ferry terminal
upon your arrival
and deliver you to Moonhole for a small fee.
Please contact us with the number travelling in your group
and let us know the airport from which you plan to depart.
We will then provide you with your airline itinerary
and arrange the best possible airfare and connections
to this unique property located on Bequia.
I'll need your specific Barbados airline information,
i.e. airline name, flight # and local Barbados arrival/departure times/dates.
We can then advise of specific connections available for you.
Our flights depart Barbados daily around 12:30 and 16:30
with the return from Bequia getting you back to Barbados around 12 Noon.
Baggage allowance is 20kg (44lbs.) each passenger.
I can ticket you along with the house as a package.
